My Boat Brain started as a personal project to stop losing track of engine hours, service intervals, and trip logs across scattered notebooks and spreadsheets. It became something we wanted to share with every boat owner.
Boat ownership comes with a lot of joy and a surprising amount of paperwork. Service records, fuel logs, insurance documents, winterisation checklists, haul-out history — most of it ends up in a drawer, a spreadsheet, or just someone's head.
We wanted a single place to track everything, on any device, even offshore without cell service. Something that could remind you when the impeller was last changed, tell you how much you spent on fuel last season, and help you plan the next passage — all without requiring a marine engineering degree to set up.
With AI now capable of genuinely useful reasoning over structured data, we added a boat-aware assistant that understands your specific vessel's history. Ask it anything. It knows your boat.
My Boat Brain is independent and self-funded. We don't have investors pushing us toward dark patterns or data monetisation. Our only goal is to build something boat owners find genuinely useful — and to be here for the long run.
